Maldivian rap artist Pest arrested with 2.5kg drugs

Male’, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has arrested four individuals with 2.5 kilogram of drugs during a drug operation they held in Male’ city.

Sources inform that one of the four suspects who were arrested with the drugs is the popular local rap artist Ismail Ifham Mohamed (Pest) who rose into fame in 2011 when he released the song “Reethi Kudhin”.

Police detailed that on Saturday night, the Drug Enforcement Department (DED) of Maldives had conducted a drug operation based on intel they received from the Police Intelligence.

During this operation, the Police has arrested four individuals along with 2.5 kilogram of drugs.

Pest is one of the leading artists of Maldives’ local rap band, Symbolic Records’ and is often referred to as the “King of Rap” of Maldives.
