Covid-19: Dawn of hope breaks in Addu with 26 recoveries!

Addu City, Maldives – A dawn of hope and happiness breaks in Addu on Sunday morning, as authorities revealed the happy news of 26 Covid-19 recoveries in the city.

Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) revealed the information, detailing that the recoveries include positive cases from Hulhudhoo Meedhoo and Hithadhoo as well. Out of the 26 recoveries, 24 recoveries are from Hulhudhoo, while two are from the rest of the adjoined districts.

With this, the total active cases in the city have gone down from 64 to 38, which includes 4 cases from Hulhudhoo Meedhoo and 18 from the adjoined districts, out of which, there are 14 active cases in Feydhoo, while four cases remain active in Maradhoo Feydhoo.

The four active cases from Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo include the two new cases which were recorded on Saturday, – one via random sampling and the other after consulting with symptoms – initiating contact tracing efforts to control further spread.

While this is so, Addu City still remains under monitoring status, barring any unauthorized travel to and from the city, along with the implementation of a curfew which lasts from 20:00 to 04:00 everyday.
