Malé, Maldives – DAMAS Company Private Limited carried has begun a blood donation camp as part of the 20th anniversary of the company.
DAMAS’s Annual Blood Donation camp is part of the CSR initiative to reach the local community which is organized in collaboration with Maldives Blood Service which commenced its partnership in 2011.
The management, staff and relatives of the employees also donate blood under this annual programme of the company.
This is an important programme to fulfill our responsibilities to the society, the importance given to the programme by our management and staff is notable.

Managing Director of DAMAS Ahmed Solih said that their blood donation programme was started to aid those who need blood transfusions after seeing the pleas they constantly make. He added that their hope is that other companies also take the initiative and carry out such programmes to aid the society.
Maldives Blood Services (MBS) annually thanks DAMAS for their collaborative programme to provide blood for children with thalassemia. MBS noted that it is difficult to find blood for thalassemia patients and that such blood camps greatly help them in their cause.
