New Covid-19 case recorded from Meedhoo

Addu City, Maldives – A new cases of Covid-19 has been recorded from the Meedhoo district of Addu City today.

According to the Addu Emergency Operation Center (AEOC), a 14th individual has tested positive for the coronavirus from Meedhoo, bringing up the total number of active cases in the city to 31, out of which, one individual is receiving hospitalized care.

So far, a total of 61 recoveries have been recorded from Addu City since the discovery of the Covid-19 case in connection to the Aviation Cluster in the city.

While additional samples are being collected and tested on the daily, Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo remain under monitoring, while the rest of the city remains open, however with a degree of restrictions.
