Foundation laid for new Kangaroo Kids & Billabong High school building in Addu City

Male’, Maldives — Foundation Stone has been laid to build a new Kangaroo Kids & Billabong High International school building in the southernmost atoll of Maldives, Addu City.

The Foundation Stone laying ceremony was held yesterday, where the School Principal at Kangaroo Kids & Billabong High International School Addu, Aishath Azra did the honor of placing foundation stores in a large 16,000 square feet land.

While Dhonya Builders company has already been assigned the task of building 13 classrooms, a hall and a bus terminal, and the school administration is aiming to begin teaching in the building at the earliest.

Established in January 2012 in Addu City, the Billabong High School and pre-school falling under the brand, Kangaroo Kids, currently operating in Addu City is a sub franchise agreement of the Education Development Investment (EDI) and Islanders Education that is operated by EDI.

The Principal of the School, Azra stated that with the completion of the new buildings, hopefully, the issues that the school is currently facing will be solved along with establishing additional resource rooms for the students.

This is also a very good news for the students who could not join the school due to lack of space.

The private school, Billabong High Kangaroo Kids School in Addu City is currently providing education to 444 students, which the school aims to increase with the establishment of the new buildings.
