Two people test positive for Covid-19 in Addu!

Addu City, Maldives – Addu City Mayor, Abdulla Sodiq has told that two individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 from Addu City.

According to Mayor Sodiq, both of them had tested positive today and one of them had violated the quarantine guidelines set by HPA. Mayor Sodiq also told that this individual had met with additional people and that contact tracing was ongoing.

With these cases, there are currently 14 active cases in Addu City.

Addu City was placed under monitoring from February 6 till March 13, 2021 follwoing the identification of cases linked to a training held at Gan International Airport and MTCC cluster. Addu City was also put under a partial curfew during a short period of the monitoring status with heavy restrictions on movement.
