Armed forces discover toy gun in Malé operation

Malé, Maldives – Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has reveled that they had found a toy gun during the operation carried out today in Malé City.

Media officer of MNDF, Major Ibrahim Azim had told that they had assisted Maldives Police Service on their request and that they did not find any real weapons.

Maldives Police Service had told that they had gotten a report of weapons and drugs being used in a house in Malé City based on which the operation was carried out. Police added that as they did not find anything, the operation had been called off.

Police and MNDF had searched a house at Muiveyo magu (road) which was closed off during the operation with Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) with arms active at the scene.
