Maldives records 68th Covid-19 death

Malé, Maldives – The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has informed that an 82 year old woman who was admitted in DH11 has passed away.

With the passing away of the 82 year old woman, the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country has risen to 68.

HPA had earlier revealed that the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 25,939 out of which 23,242 patients have made full recoveries, as of 18:00 of April 15, 2021. 

While the country is currently facing one of the worst waves that has hit the country in terms of the pandemic, currently there are 58 patients receiving hospitalized care for the virus throughout the country.

This is the 68th Covid-19 death in the Maldives spacing over a period of over one year. To date, 61 Maldivian nationals, 6 Bangladeshi nationals and a Filipino national have passed away from the virus in Maldives.
