Malé, Maldives – The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has informed that an unresponsive 86 year old man who was brought to IGMH/ER at 16:00 yesterday had passed away due to Covid-19.
With the passing away of the 86 year old man, the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country has risen to 68.
HPA had earlier revealed that the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 26,021 out of which 23,360 patients have made full recoveries, as of 18:00 of April 16, 2021.
While the country is currently facing one of the worst waves that has hit the country in terms of the pandemic, currently there are 53 patients receiving hospitalized care for the virus throughout the country.
