While participating in Raajje TV’s “Fala Suruhy” program Deputy Education Minister Mohamed Ihsan, who heads the DPE, stated that they are discussing with Edexcel, on what to do regarding the leaked papers. A decision is to be made soon, he said.

We will soon decide on what to do regarding the leaked papers. We are currently discussing with Edexcel. Today, Edexcel gave the guarantee that starting from tomorrow’s exam, there would be a very slight chance of the papers being leaked.

Since the A Level Exam is an international exam series, Maldives will not have the power to make the final decision, Ihsan said.

Last week, an hour before the Physics unit 1 paper, it was leaked. Since the papers were not leaked by Maldives, it provided a time gap in which students of Maldives could also access the papers. This has caused an uproar in many students and concerned parents in Maldives.
