Malé, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has met with the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and given the updated the President regarding the ongoing investigation into the terror attack against Former President and Current Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
Spokesperson of the President’s Office Mabrook Azeez tweeted revealing that the President with the Maldives Police Service to receive updates regarding the investigation. Home Minister Imran was also present at the meeting.
Speaking in a press conference by police held last night, Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed revealed that while no information was received from police intelligence prior but that they had four persons of interest under surveillance.
CP Hameed also revealed that they were in discussions with Prosecutor Generals Office and that necessary actions against these four persons of interest would be taken accordingly. He also added that they would closely monitor these individuals and would not allow them to leave the country.
Im addition to this, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih tweeted last night regarding Speaker Nasheed’s surgeries thanking almighty Allah for the success of the medical procedures completed on Speaker Nasheed. President Solih further went on to express his gratitude towards the doctors and medical staff at ADK hospital for ensuring his well being.
