Three people greviously injured in the past 24hrs from greater Malé area

Malé, Maldives – A man is reported to have fallen from a building in a third incident within the past 24hrs.

The man is said to be taken to Hulhumalé Hospital for emergency treatment.

Last night, two people fell from two buildings in Malé and Hulhumalé.

The first reported was from Malé. The Police stated today that the 33 year old man that fell on the ‘Fiyaathoshi’ road of Malé is being treated at  Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). The Police are active on the scene that the incident took place.

Police had gotten information about the fall at 01:00 today. Police stated that they had received information that the person fell from the 5th floor of a building, and that further investigations are ongoing.

The second report was from Hulhumalé. Police stated that they had received the call about a person that fell on the 6th road of ‘Nirolhu Magu’, at 03:00 today.

The person that fell was a 21 year old Maldivian man, who is also being treated at IGMH. Police noted that he was unconscious even when he was brought to the hospital.
