Atolls, Maldives – Two Indian teachers have been suspended in Lh. Lhaimagu and HDh. Hanimaadhoo for making social media posts supporting Israel.
Hanimaadhoo School has also sent a request to the Ministry of Education to fire the teacher and send back to India.
Lhaimagu School principal, Mohamed Fayaz stated to local media “Sun” that the incident of one of their teachers posting pro Israel content was brought to his attention today.
Both teacher’s suspensions have been brought to the attention of Maldives Education Ministry, however, the Ministry has not released any information regarding this matter yet.
Local news reports that the teacher from Lhaimagu is reported as a Chemistry teacher while the Hanimaadhoo teacher is a leading teacher.
