Covid-19: Additional 10 cases recorded from GA. Villingili

GA. Villingili, Maldives – Additional 10 people have tested positive for Covid-19 from GA. Villingili.

According to the recent statistics published by GA. Villingili Hospital, the island recorded 10 additional cases of Covid-19 within the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases from the island to 96. There are currently 35 active cases of Covid-19 on the island, with 61 recoveries.

The island was placed under monitoring on May 15 and several measures have been implemented in the island since then. This includes a 10 hour curfew in addition to stopping parties, meetings and mass gatherings.

In addition to this, salons, gyms and other sports facilities are to remain closed during the period. Taxis are also to provide their services according to the guidelines of the Health Protection Agency.

Furthermore, online classes are being held for students of schools, colleges and universities as physical classes are not allowed for the students. Restaurants and hotels have also stopped dine in services and they provide takeaway services during normal hours.
