Addu City, Maldives – Addu City, Hulhumeedhoo has been removed from monitoring status effective today.
The joint islands of Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo were removed from monitoring status following a week of no cases testing positive from the islands. Additionally, all positive individuals have recovered from Covid-19 in Hulhumeedhoo.
Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) revealed that seven new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Addu City as of yesterday.
AEH also revealed that from the active cases in the city, a total of 94 are in Hithadhoo, two cases in Maradhoo and one case from Feydhoo.
The total number of positive cases recorded in Addu City reached 403, out of which only 97 cases are active. Contact tracing efforts have identified, 450 direct contacts related to the positive cases so far. To date, 304 patients made full recoveries in Addu City.
