Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that a 79 year old female has passed away due to Covid-19.
According to HPA the person admitted to the Hulhumale Medical Facility (HMF), and was declared dead at 2301hrs last night marking the 207th death in the island nation.
Maldives has been slowly recovering from one of the biggest surges faced by the country since recording the very first cases. Due to the high number of cases, the number of fatalities had also increased rapidly, with 88 deaths in May alone.
Since the beginning of June, 43 people have passed from COVID-19 in the country.
