Malé, Maldives –The inquiry report compiled by the Parliament’s Committee on National Security Services (241 Committee) on their investigation into the terror attack against Former President and Current Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed on May 6 has been officially presented to the President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

A special ceremony was held today at the President’s Office, where Chairperson of 241 Committee, MP for North Hithadhoo Constituency Mohamed Aslam officially presented the inquiry report on the May Terror Attack against Speaker Nasheed.

President Solih congratulated the 241 Committee members and noted that the members have done very important and hard work at short notice. President Solih thanked all the members of the 241 Committee for their hard work in compiling the inquiry report.

President Solih stated that he would look into the matters that were highlighted in the report and will bring into effect the amendments mentioned. He also stated that the report will be presented to the National Security Council and gave assurance that he will try to solve the important issues related to national safety at the earliest.

The 241 Committee expressed gratitude towards the government for the assistance they received in complying with the inquiry report, along with the support the committee received from all the government authorities during the inquiry.
