Gaaf Alif Atoll, Maldives – The Maldives Police, today, arrested four individuals suspected of stealing over EUR 20,000 from an outbound tourist’s luggage at the GA. Koodoo Airport.
The four Maldivian men arrested under a court warrant include the Station Manager of Maldivian airline Shuaib Siddeeq, two staff of the resort where the tourist was staying and an employee of Koodoo Fisheries.
The suspects are of the ages 31, 32, 36 and 37.
Police were alerted of the theft yesterday, 15 August 2021, have recovered EUR 10,000 and returned to the owner.
The Maldives Police Service is still investigating the matter.
