Malé, Maldives – The Government of Maldives on Wednesday authorized the purchase of all tuna caught by fishing vessels queued at Koodoo.
Total catch of all fishing boats in Koodoo lagoon will be purchased. Fishers have been informed the queue numbers and dates on which fish will be purchased from all boats.

While MIFCO agreed to purchase the whole catch of fishing vessels queued at Koodoo this evening, the situation escalated after more fishing vessels entered Koodoo. The government has now authorized the purchase from all boats.
