President Solih departs on official visit to Kolhumadulu

Malé, Maldives – President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed to Kolhumadulu (Thaa) Atoll today on an official trip.

During this trip, President Solih will participate in events, visit important institutions and hold discussions with central stakeholders in each island.

The President is scheduled to officially inaugurate the Omadhoo Island Harbour during his visit to the island. He is also scheduled to convene meetings with the Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) of each island, the Kolhumadulu Atoll Council and residents of the atoll engaged in key sectors such as fisheries, education and local agriculture.

President Solih will arrive at Thimarafushi Island first, and is scheduled to travel to Kinbidhoo Island, Omadhoo Island, Veymandoo Island, Vandhoo Island, Kandoodhoo Island and Gaadhiffushi Island respectively.

The President will conclude the trip to Kolhumadulu Atoll and return to Malé City on Thursday evening.
