New Delhi, India – The Government of India has appointed Shri Munu Mahawar as the new High Commissioner to the Maldives.
Shri Mahawar is presently Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, and has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Maldives as the tenureship of the incumbent High Commissioner Sunjay Sudhir is coming to an end.
The new High Commissioner is expected to assume his post shortly.
Shri Mahawar has served in the Indian Foreign Service since 1996 and served in diplomatic missions in Moscow and Geneva. He also has vast experience in the foreign service headquarters holding various positions including Director in Prime Minister’s Office and Desk Officer for Nepal.
