COVID-19 situation worsens in the islands!

Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) reported that 108 cases were recorded in the islands yesterday.

The agency stated that a total of 141 cases were recorded, with only 29 cases from the Greater Malé area, while 108 cases were recorded from inhabited islands, and 4 cases from operational resorts.

Maldives has recorded a total number of 84,720 Covid-19 cases, of which 1,601 are currently active. To date, 82,875 patients have made full recoveries. The country has recorded 231 Covid-19 related fatalities.

Meanwhile, statistics released by the HPA shows that as of Monday, 391,960 individuals have administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while a total of 337,293 individuals have completed both doses of the vaccine.
