Malé, Maldives – Ministry of Health today said that the government will dispatch 20 ambulances to the islands in the upcoming 2 to 3 days.
The Health Ministry stated that the documentation and transfer of ambulances will be complete within the next week.
Health Ministry, Finance Ministry and State Trading Organization (STO) in June 2021 signed an MOU to bring 96 ambulances to be brought to the islands within 180 days.
While Minister Naseem has given multiple dates for the arrival of the ambulances, the government of Maldives state that 60 ambulances will arrive in the country by the end of 2021. The government presently aims to distribute the 60 ambulances within this year.
