Covid-19 sample collection center established at Henveiru football ground

Malé, Maldives – A new Covid-19 sample collection center has been established effective today at Henveiru football ground.

Samples will be collected from 15:00 to 18:00 at the Henveiru football ground in the capital city.

The new center is established to cater to the escalating number of Covid-19 cases in the country.

Including the sample collection center at the Henveiru football ground, samples are collected at the Social Center, FAM building, Ruhgandu 1 (Hulhumalé), Vilimalé flu clinic, and Senahiya flu clinic.

The total active cases in the country has jumped to 13,035 with 1,325 new cases reported last night from the greater Malé area and 681 from the islands.

7,574 samples were tested in 24 hours of which 3,635 samples were from the greater Malé area. The capital city has an alarming 36% positivity rate.
