Malé, Maldives – Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) today stated that 10 people were transported to Senahiya Military Hospital for smoke inhalation after a house fire in the capital city.
The fire was first reported to the Fire Rescue Services control room at 08:55.
Fire and Rescue services were dispatched to the scene immediately and the fire was curbed at 09:25.
The fire occurred at H. Nooalige and authorities have not revealed the cause of the fire. Reportedly the home is a migrant residence.
A fire was also reported from the same district yesterday morning at 09:50. The fire initiated from the kitchen of H. Fine Beach was extinguished by firefighters without further damage caused.
