The President’s Office on Sunday announced that the government’s official working hours for Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal every year, starting this year would be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The announcement was made in the fourth directive issued by the President’s Office this year.
The President’s Office also advised government offices to adhere to the official working hours when planning events and activities.
As the Islamic calendar is based around the lunar cycle, the Holy month of Ramadan rotates by approximately ten days each year. This year, Ramadan is expected to begin on Saturday 2nd April 2022, depending on the sighting of the moon.
