Malé, Maldives – Two Maldivian National Defense Force (MNDF) officers undergoing training at Maafilaafushi are currently receiving medical care after a sudden health decline.

MNDF revealed that the two trainees were brought to Malé last night after their health declined and that both are now receiving medical care at IGMH.

Local news have reported that one of the trainees is receiving care in the intensive care unit, while another officer is admitted in the ward.

This comes just days after an MNDF officer training in the same island passed away after a sudden health decline during training.

MNDF stated that Private Mohamed Rafil Rabeel from Gdh. Gadhhoo passed away on Monday after being treated for breathing difficulties in Maafilaafushi and then transferred to Lh. Naifaru Hospital.
