Th. Atoll, Maldives – Police have arrested a man for the violent stabbing of Th. Dhiyamigili Imam.
Police confirm that a Maldivian man was stabbed five times at around 09:30 today at Dhiyamigili island.
Reports suggest that the man was stabbed five times with a sharp object, with a three-inch deep injury in the cervical region.
The Imam is being treated for his injuries by a doctor from neighbouring Veymandoo island. Preparations are being made to transport the injured to L. Atoll via sea ambulance.
Police have arrested a man regarding this case.
