President Solih pledges to bring May 6 perpetrators to justice

Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Friday stated that the government remains steadfast in its work to bring those responsible for the May 6 terror attack to justice.

President Solih stated this on the anniversary of the May 6 terror attack. The President described the attack as one that rocked the peaceful society and one of the worst acts of terrorism on Maldivian soil.

Meanwhile, Speaker Nasheed’s family has released a statement stating that while some arrests have been made, “scant attention has been paid to look beyond those who were in the frontline of the attack.”

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament has also released a statement calling for a complete swift investigation bringing all involved to justice.
