UAE – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the new President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The President met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed as part of his visit to the UAE to express his condolences and sympathies in person to the family of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late President of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Speaking with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, President Solih expressed deep sadness upon learning of Sheikh Khalifa’s passing. He asked to convey his prayers and condolences to the late President’s family and the people of the UAE.
President Solih stated that His Highness Sheikh Khalifa would be remembered as a beacon of modernity and national unity like his father before him. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to bless His Highness Sheikh Khalifa’s soul with eternity in paradise and grant strength and resolve to the late President’s family and the people of the UAE.
The President went on to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Mohammed on his election as the new President of the UAE and wished him success in carrying out his duties.
