Malé, Maldives – A baggage handling staff member at Velana International Airport (VIA) was injured today, after a baggage container fell.
Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) which operates VIA confirmed that the unfortunate incident did happen and that one employee has been hospitalised but stable, due to injuries sustained from the accident.
MACL further stated that additional information pertaining to the accident will be known following investigations.
No flights were delayed due to the accident, said MACL.
