Air services MoU signed between Maldives and Kazakhstan

Montreal, Canada – A Memorandum of Understanding between Maldives and Kazakhstan to permit and facilitate scheduled air services between the two nations.

The document was signed by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula and from the Kazakh side by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastaev within the sidelines of the 41st session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The MoU also enables operation of code-share services by the designated airlines of each party which would enable regular flight operations between the two countries.

The transport MoU comes few weeks after the agreement allowing Maldivian nationals traveling to Kazakhstan got exempted from visa allowing diplomatic, official and ordinary passport holders to enter and stay in Kazakhstan a maximum period of thirty (30) days from the day of their entry.
