The President made the decision to honour Minister Naseem in order to recognise his national contributions to the government over a period of more than 37-years, as well as his role as one of the pioneers of the Maldives tourism industry during a precarious and uncertain time.
At the ceremony, the President stated that he believes that Minister Naseem’s contributions and services to the country should be recognised and celebrated at a national level.
