Addu City, Maldives – Gan International Airport (GIA) has been scheduled to hold a full scale emergency exercise next month.
According to Addu International Airport (AIA) which operates Gan Airport, the exercise named “Exercise Maaran’ga 2022” will be held from 09:00 to 15:00 of 2 November.
While all regular operations of the airport will be ceased during these six hours, Gan Island will be closed to the public at the Gan causeway point, except for the participants and vehicles used in the exercise.
AIA assured that after 15:00, all regular operations will resume at the Airport and Gan will be reopened for public again.
Gan International Airport, which currently operates with both domestic and international airlines has held similar exercises in the past as well.
