Malé, Maldives – The Maldives Bureau of Statistics has launched a survey to identify the population of Maldivians living abroad.
According to NBS, the objective of this survey is to identify the extent and causes of migration abroad and to determine the exact number of the population living abroad and to compile population statistics.
The “Maldivians living overseas survey 2022” will run until 30th of this month and the collection of information is through an online questionnaire.
The survey included questions on age, gender, purpose of living abroad, marriage and childbearing information, employment and educational level. The Stats Bureau has requested all Maldivians living abroad to participate in the survey and complete and submit this information as soon as possible.
