Anas appointed as MDP spokesperson

Malé, Maldives – Anas Abdul Sattar, former Secretary General of the Maldivian Democratic Party, has been appointed as their spokesperson.

Anas, who was appointed as the spokesperson today, was most recently the chairman of the MDP’s appeals committee.

Anas, who holds a degree in law, also contested the last local council elections for the post of Mayor of Malé City.

After losing the election, the government appointed Anas as State Minister of Finance. He also served as an executive committee member of the Bar Council from 2019 to 2021.

Anas also serves the position of Managing Partner at Vakaalaath Chambers LLP since being appointed during January 2011

Anas was the SG of the MDP from 2015 to 2020.
