The Ministry of Higher Education has announced a new round of student loans for student pilots previously enrolled in the Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA) in Addu City.
This opportunity is for the students who were studying in AAA at the time of the school’s closure, which left the students and their studies in limbo.
According to the Ministry, students who applied to complete their programme after the first of July will be eligible to apply for the loan this time.
The application has to be filled in via the myedu.egov.mv portal, and the deadline is 21st August.
This is the fourth round of such loans announced by the Ministry.
Following the cease of operations of AAA, the location is now used by the Maldivian Aviation Academy, run by Island Aviation Services and the Maldives National University, in collaboration with a Czech flying academy.
