A Nepalese national sustained injuries following an assault with a sharp weapon in the Maldivian capital late yesterday evening, authorities confirmed.
According to police officials, reports of the incident on Kurikeela Road were received by law enforcement at approximately midnight. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was subsequently transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
Hospital sources, as cited by police, indicate that while the victim remains under medical care, his condition is not considered life-threatening.
