Judicial Service Commission (JSC) today has filed a motion to dismiss the Chief of Justice to the parliament.
Chief Justice was investigated by the JSC but he has refused to cooperate. He even refused to accept the summon. The chief judge said JSC’s aim is to oust him and their actions are going in the way of him doing his job.
JSC has also suspended the chief’s secretary and Supreme Court’s director Athika Ibrahim opening investigations about her too.
Along with the COJ, JSC has also filed a motion to dismiss Supreme Court Judge Adam Mohamed. He was also investigated but JSC didn’t allow is lawyer to represent him. Dr. Mohamed Jameel wasn’t allowed to represent the judge because Judge Adam is handling a case of Jameel, says JSC.
