The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Thaufeeq of Morocco and the Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdullah Shahid have discussed future prospects of Maldivian Imams getting training in Morocco.
In the meeting held in Morocco, the ministers also discussed historical and Islamic aspects of both countries. It was also discussed on how to strengthen the Islamic beliefs in both countries apart from the training of Imams in Moroccan institutions.
While agreements between both countries are to be signed in this trip, this is the first time a Maldivian Foreign Minister has visited Morocco.
