Male’, Maldives – A speedboat traveling from Maalifushi Resort to Male’ has caught fire mid trip.
Maldives Police Service revealed that the speedboat named “Maalifushi 2” caught fire while attempting to make a pitstop at Th. Guraidhoo, before making its way to Male’.
While a total of 6 people were on the boat, 2 have been injured in the accident and are receiving care at Maalifushi resort, revealed Police.
The fire was extinguished with the joint effort of Maalifushi staff and Maldives Police Service officers.
