Male’, Maldives – Maldives has announced another death due to Covid-19 in the country, the death toll of Maldives is now at 12.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced that the deceased was an 80 year old Maldivian male.
He passed away at approximately 04:35 am of June 6, while being admitted and receiving critical care at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital.
Up to date, a total of 12 people have passed away due to Covid-19 in Maldives. They are 6 elderly Maldivians, 5 Bangladeshis and a Filipino.
While a total of 2,468 people have been confirmed for the virus in Maldives, 2,049 people have completely recovered from it. Currently there are only 403 active Covid-19 cases in Maldives.
Yesterday itself 33 people were confirmed for the virus in Maldives. They were 12 Maldivians, 18 Bangladeshis and 3 Indians.
