Person attempting to enter Maldives with a forged passport caught

Male’, Maldives – A foreign individual who attempted to enter Maldives with a counterfeit passport has been stopped by Maldives Immigration at Velana International Airport.

Immigration has told that the individual was a 40 year old male, but did not mention the country from which he was from.

Immigration has caught individuals during immigration clearance at Velana International Airport who have attempted to enter Maldives using forged passports and also using a lookalikes passport earlier this year. Some of these individuals have been blacklisted and deported from Maldives while others are still being investigated.
