Los Angeles, United States – The American singer and rapper, Doja Cat is confirmed to be tested positive for the virus.

The singer had some words for those she said were unnecessarily afraid of Covid-19 back in early March. She had said during an Instagram Live on her verified account that she didn’t fear the virus and had some NSFW words for those who did.

She told her followers in her Live video that, “It’s a flu, You just take some Mucinex (a cold and flu medication) and drink water and tea and sleep. That’s all you gotta do.”

The “Say So” star however recently revealed that she in fact had been tested positive for the virus.

The 24-year-old star told Capital XTRA that she was unsure as to how she had contracted it, but she has completely recovered from it now. “I’m okay now,” she said. “It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now,” the star said.

She however had blamed the American food delivery service Postmates on how she was sickened, although, many health experts and agencies have minimized the threat posed by surfaces, such as packaging, and the food itself in transmitting the virus.

Doja Cat had previously also made headlines in May when she was accused of having participated in racist conversations online in the past and a song she released in 2015 titled “Dindu Nuffin” resurfaced.

While the song’s title refers to a racist slur that is used to mock victims of police brutality, the singer denied participating in racist conversations online when the topic was raised.
