Male’, Maldives – A laboratory technologist working at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has tested positive for Covid-19.
The lab tech, is said to have tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday, which has been followed by contact tracing and disinfection by the authorities.
This is not the first time IGMH has seen positive cases from within the institution. Earlier, IGMH saw several cases which eventually formed into a cluster, consisting of patients and nurses and other medical personnel as well.
Overall, Maldives has been seeing a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country, following the ease of restrictions places in the Male’ region as well as the ease of restrictions in movement within the country.
