Male’, Maldives – Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has revealed that 884 individuals have been fined for not complying with the mandatory regulation of wearing masks when out in public places in the Male’ region.
Going into details, HEOC stated that 21 individuals were advised and 41 were fined for not wearing masks, with in the past 24 hours alone.
With this, the number of people who were advised against the violation of the mask regulations have gone up to 2,444 with 844 being fined as a result of repeated offense.
Further, 147 people were warned for being outside past the curfew timings, with 60 individuals having have been fined for the same violation, but repeatedly, with in just one day. So far, 951 individuals have been fined in total with regards to this violation.
The fine set for repeated violations with regards to masks and curfews is at MVR 1,000.
