Addu City, Maldives – Addu City Council has awarded a land plot in Maradhoo, to be developed as a “near home-fish plant” or as the project is formally named, “Geydhoshu Mas Plant”.
Addu City Council, on Thursday, revealed that a land plot the size of 31,167 square feet was awarded to a local company, Trident Maldives for the task and that the agreement was signed by Deputy Mayor Mohamed Yasrif, on behalf of Addu City Council, and by Ibrahim Shahneez on behalf of Trident Maldives Pvt Ltd.
It was also revealed that the initial agreement was signed between both parties on 22nd July, 2020.
Similar projects are expected to be carried out in Hithadhoo, Meedhoo and Maradhoo as part of High Impact Community Projects (HICP) under the aid of India.
Apart from this, India is also expected to provide further financial assistance to various projects to take place in the city in the near future.
