Fish Market to be built in S. Maradhoo

Addu City, Maldives —The Local Government Authority (LGA) of Maldives has signed an agreement with the Addu City Council to build a fish market in Maradhoo.

The agreement to handover the project for Construction of Maradhoo Fish Market was signed today during a virtual meeting where the Mayor of Addu City, Abdullah Sodiq signed the agreement on behalf of the City Council and the CEO of LGA, Afshan Latheef signed on behalf of the authority.

While speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Sodiq stated that after finishing the documental works, the construction work of the fish market will begin at the earliest.

The ceremony was also joined by the Councilor of Maradhoo, Faisal Ibrahim where he thanked the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the Minister of Finance, Ibrahim Ameer and LGA for providing the City Council with the Construction of Maradhoo Fish Market project at such a short notice.

The Finance Ministry has provided a total of MVR 3,900,000 as the budget for the Addu City Maradhoo Fish Market.
