MNDF’s Colonel Rauf as Defence Advisor of Malaysia

Malé, Maldives — The Colonel of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Ibrahim Rauf has been appointed as the first-ever Defence Advisor from Maldives to Malaysia on Friday.

Colonel Rauf, the new Defence Advisor appointed to Malaysia has the responsibility to foster military ties between the Malaysia and Maldives and to also facilitate education and training opportunities for the Maldivian military.

Along with these responsibilities, Colonel Rauf will now onwards be stationed at Malaysia.

The MNDF also states that Maldives has up to date filled the Defence Advisor post to India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in addition to Malaysia. The first-ever Defence Advisor was appointed from Maldives to India.
