Minimize Covid-19 cases for everyone’s good: MU Manik

Malé, Maldives — Mohamed Umar Manik requests the citizens of Maldives to minimize the number of confirmed cases for the good of everyone.

For the lives of Maldivians and to maintain the tourism industry, one of the biggest tourism investor of Maldives, M.U Manik has requested all people to try and maintain the Covid-19 cases unwil a vaccine is available.

On a supplement released by the Tourism Ministry in regard of the World Tourism day, M.U Manik stated that the position tourism was in prior Covid can only be achieved after we receive a vaccine for the virus.

“It’s not a secret that we are receiving fewer tourists these days,” M.U Manik mentioned on a statement he wrote as the chairman of MATI, the main community of Maldives’ tourism industry.

“We will only be able to achieve the level we were previously in, only after a Covid vaccine is found and is injected to everyone.”

M.U Manik stated that the economy of the country and the tourism industry that everyone has built and made out of scrap has been affected widely due the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. However, since July 15, the resorts and safaris in Maldives have gradually started to operate in the country.

According to M.U Manik, the opening of guesthouses in the atolls of Maldives is an opportunity to rise the economy. He states that this is a Motivation that Maldivian citizens will receive.
